uh... we've lots of threads here in science forum, maybe a search there would yield some answers.

personally, i think denying creation by God (the one week period) is denying God's words, and i believe in microevolution, just not macroevolution. Micro, as in the adaptation concept.

I have met many Christians that believe in evolution you can break them into three main categories:

1) Believe that God did all and made the evolutionary process in order to bring diversity

2) Some believe God used evolution as the how he created animals and even humans the part about the clay they explain as it all started from a piece of clay

3) Believe that genesis was just a way to put things so that people could understand

there may be more but i think there just off-shots of these ideas

Hi!

There are basically four approaches to how God created this world.

One approach is the Evolutionary Creationism concent. God created the universe in a way that the creation is capable or generating through natural law and process (evolution, etc).

Theistic Evolutionists believe that God created the universe, but that God also modified the process.

Progressivve Creationists believe that God created the universe and all therein in steps.

The biggest drawback to these concepts is that it challenges the character of God

The Young-age creationist believes God created all thing from nothing.

A fundamentalist Christian will not support evolution, but will believe in the literal translation of Genesis. Other types of professing Christians may believe a variety of teachings that don't apply a consistent interpretation of the Bible.

Everything comes after it's own kind. That makes micro-evolution possible while macro-evolution likely contradicts scripture...

of course there is some play in the question of what exactly a "kind" is.

This isn't something to get too caught up in though. The point of Genesis is that God made everything, it's no how-to manual or science text. He did it, and we can only make our best guess about the "hows" and "whens".

Short and sweet, they can believe that human bodies evolved from other bodies if they wish. They cannot deny that God created the matter to make them with, or that God created the spirit that he put into only human bodies.

It's a scientific question, not really a religious one. Genesis says that God formed man from the earth, it doesn't say whether he was made human or develped into a human after a time of evolution.

I believe that he was created fully human.

I agree with Theresa.

This is my view on Evolution.

God created everything and everyone. The first human beings, the first animals, the first plants... etc.

Then overtime, humans, animals, and everything God created evolved into what we have today.

Plain and simple really, but I also agree with Blessed-One. We have a few forums specificly on Evoultion VS Creation. You might want to check those out to get some more insight.

Hope that helps! :)

BECAUSE OUR VERY SALVATION IS BASED SOLELY ON gOD'S PROMISES, FOUND IN HIS WORD,WE CAN ALSO TRUST THAT GOD WAS ACTUALLY THE CREATOR OF ALL THINGS SIMPLY BECAUSE IT'S ALSO IN IN HIS WORD(THE BIBLE) .wE CAN'T START GETTING IN THE BUSINESS OF SEPERATING IN THE BIBLE WHAT WE DO/DON'T BELIEVE.EITHER THE BIBLE IS TRUE OR IT ISN'T.
