I finished my 7th song.It is called 'Fateful Twilight'. I really love this song. This song gave me lots of problems when making it, it still has some tweaks needed but it is good for now. I really hope you enjoy it.

I really want to add vocals to this song too. I have an idea of how they would go, and it fits amazingly nice.

Here is the link to my song, let me know your suggestions, comments and opinions!

Its hard to tell without the vocal tracks as far as the total flow, but there is some good potential there, in fact more so than just good. Quite impressive. Also the layering of the guitar sections I thought was pretty cool.

Being totally candid... (I almost hate this part, but the basics of what you are doing is so close, I'm going to be pretty critical)

You do need some serious work on the recording side. I think with the right engineer at the controls, you may really have something. The acoustic guitar comes across really muddy, the drums lack definition, the mix needs help. I know its not done, but even so, the recording should be a lot closer to the final product than what it is. Here's a tip from years ago. Listen to it on an AM pocket radio (if you can still find one...), if it still sounds great, your pretty close. Just as an aside, I played it on 3 different sets of speakers to make sure my point was valid. In fairness though, my hearing is nowhere near as good as it used to be.

There is also a lacking of drive. I almost get it a few times, but its not there. You might have your drummer play around a little bit with his timing in the various sections. Sometimes being a fraction ahead or behind as the sections change can make a world of difference in drive perception. Another possibility is to do so in the recording. Try moving the drum and bass track back and forth a bit section by section. Now some of this drive perception may well be due to the individual mic eq, and the mix making it hard to pick up. I'm not sure.

Still, an amazing job, and you have much potential. I'm quite impressed.
