The manifestation of the Holy Spirit in the believer in the flow of Kingdom Business is what is called the Anointing. Our Lord Jesus Christ was equipped to enable his earthly ministry succeed. Acts 10:38 says How God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Ghost and with power: who went about doing good, and healing all that were oppressed of the devil; for God was with him.Hallelujah,Amen.
Jesus means the one who saves, and Christ means the anointed one. It is possible for one to have Jesus as his/her savior but not flowing in the anointing. One can be learned without being educated, the doctor who has read the books and knows that cigarettes gives cancer but is a smoker is learned (head/brain knowledge) but not educated (benefit from learning) or man who has a wife but keeps a mistress somewhere cannot be said to be married. A truly married person stays faithful to the other partner. Praise the Lord for evermore,Amen.
So you can have the spirit in you but would not be walking in the anointing. When the bible says walk in the spirit Galatians 5:16,it means allow the spirit in you to have expression. The anointing brings with it a decreed protection,yes God has a vested interest in the people who avail themselves to the flow of the anointing,Psalm 105:15.....touch not mine anointed and do my prophets no harm. When God says be fruitful and multiply,He means be productive and increase the level of your productivity. The anointing takes away inhibitions and hinderances to production, Isaiah 10:27.And it shall come to pass in that day,that his burden shall be taken away from off thy shoulder,and his yoke from off thy neck ,and the yoke shall be destroyed because of the anointing. Hallelujah,Amen.
The anointing gives you the cutting edge,gives you the supernatural ability and lifts you to the top of the pile. 1 Samuel 10:6 And the spirit of the Lord will come upon thee and thou shalt prophesy with them,and shalt be turned into another man.
The enablement of the Spirit is explained clearly in Zechariah 4:6 "Then he answered and spake unto me, saying, This [is] the word of the LORD unto Zerubbabel, saying, Not by might, nor by power, but by my spirit, saith the LORD of hosts". In effect,(Zerubbabel)Tom,Dick,Harry,Veronica,Linda,Billy etc.what you are achieving in your christian life is not by might(force of arms,weapons,technology),nor by power(mental power,political power,financial power,family connections) but by the spirit of God in you,with you and working through you.Hallelujah,Amen and Amen.
I will proceed to talk about the types of anointing. In the original Hebrew language the word anoint had several meanings,each having to do with the application of oil. Psalm 89:20 "I have found David my servant,with my holy oil have I anointed him" The word "anoint" here is MASHACH,which means to rub with oil,to paint or to consecrate. God gave this kind of anointing to David because He found in David a heart of a servant. We use this kind of anointing to preach,sing,heal the sick,etc.etc. Amen and Amen.
In Psalm 92:10 "But my horn shalt thou exalt like the horn of an unicorn: I shall be anointed with fresh oil". The anoint here is BALAL,which means to overflow with oil. This type of anointing is for the demonstration of power,in which you pull down strongholds,casts down imaginations and deal with demonic hosts. Praise the Lord,Amen,Amen.
The third type of anointing is found in Psalm 23:5-6 "Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies: thou anointest my head with oil,my cup runneth over.Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life: and I will dwell in the house of the Lord for ever. DHASHEN is the Hebrew word for "anoint" here,meaning to be fat,to be juicy,to be mighty,to be fertile,and to be well-fed. This anointing brings prosperity,one does not need to manoeuvre for favour,GOODNESS and MERCY just follows.Praise the Lord,Hallelujah.
The rubbed-on anointing(mashach) is received by cultivating the right heart and character,the over-flowing anointing(balal) comes by prayer and spiritual warfare,however the satisfying anointing(dhashen) is obtained by giving .
The flow of the "anointing" is impeded by unconfessed sin,unbelief,ignorance,fear and inertia or procrastination. It is time to do something for the Lord,pray for that preacher and support his ministry by giving,be committed to your local church,pray for people in authority,donate to charity,tell somebody about Jesus Christ,yes be up and doing,you can do better. Daniel 11:32.......but the people that do know their God shall be strong, and do [exploits].
God is interested in whatever you do to the glory of His name.That is why Christ came to empower us so that God would be glorified in us now and the time to come,Colosians 1:27 To whom God would make known what [is] the riches of the glory of this mystery among the Gentiles; which is Christ in you, the hope of glory:
In 1Kings 18:44-46, King Ahab rode in a chariot ahead of Prophet Elijah on the way the Jezreel. When the hand of God(anointing) came upon Elijah,he ran and overtook King Ahab and got to the entrance of Jezreel first,Hallelujah,Amen.
