Anniversary!

20 years ago today I received the Sacrament of Confirmation.

I often wonder if my decision to be Confirmed was more an emotional one than one born of a desire to follow Christ more closely. Within 3 years after I had slacked off in the practice of my faith, and was attending Mass twice a month at most.

But, thanks be to God, He pursued me and brought me back.

You're not alone in this. I think back and believe that the only reason I was confirmed was because my parents made me go through it, so I went through all the motions and got confirmed.

Praise Jesus that He won't let His sheep wander away without pursuing!

Congrats on the anniversary...

now i REALLY feel young.. mine was three and a half years ago.

Mine was 4 years ago.

I'm not sure why I did it. I know that I have learned a great deal more now that I knew then, but I'm glad that I did it when I did, because what lay ahead in high school tested whether or not I really wanted to be Catholic and that made me have more strength in my faith.
