  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

Well, when my parents were visiting from out-of-state last week and they looked after our little guy so that we could go on our first date since he was born (he's over 1 1/2 years! Eek!) this is what we did...

We were first going to go to a movie, and decided to kill some time at a nearby bookstore while we waited. We ended up staying there and browsing books together until the store closed (most Barnes & Nobles' stay open until 11pm, so it's a good after toddler bedtime activity) and then went to Sonic for a late nite snack. Totally missed the movie, and were glad that we did, lol!

Doesn't sound like an exciting date, but it was. :) I suppose it helped that we were looking at books that interested both of us instead of split up browsing different sections of the store (we were looking for devotional/study type books.) Plus, it was nice to do something that isn't easly accomplished with an active toddler. :D

Thank you James!! Ben likes to split and look at motorcycle stuff whereas I could careless about anything on wheels unless it has to do with my car. Going to Barnes & Noble and browsing with a white chocolate mocha has always been a favorite of mine. It's a great idea. I better ask hubby what he wants to do too. Since Sonic is the only thing open that late, that's probably where we will head afterwards too for a shake or something. Or Jack In The Box for a oreo shake. Mmmmmmmmmmmm......

We live about 45 minutes from the beach and that would be nice but hubby doesn't like our beach...it's pretty ugly. That and the mosquitos are so bad at night!!!! It wouldn't be very romantic trying to cuddle up to someone that smells like OFF! Heehee! Thanks though!!! We'll figure something out, I'm sure!

my wife and I are geeks. We love going to the museum of science and nature, going to the planetarium or the IMAX. If there's an event going on like say....international car show (another favorite of my wife and I), that's always fun. Or check around to see if there's a farmer nearby who runs a hayride service, or a coach and buggy ride. All fun things to do.

We did that last year on our 2nd anniversary. I loved it!! We went to the butterfly exhibit and also the Titanic exhibit. Then we went out to an observatory to see the stars. I guess I just wanted something different. I would love to have a picnic but the mosquitos are real bad. I asked hubby what he wanted to do and he didn't really answer so I guess I'll just have to play the whole thing by ear. Thanks for the suggestions guys!
