Neither of us know the makeup of the glorified body, but make NO mistake it is a body, no need to quote scripture is there?
Exactly. So how is it you can speak with such assurance that it is limited to being in one place at a time? Especially since Scripture does assure us that it is quite different from the human body we are familiar with -- Jesus could appear and disappear at will, and appear "in another form" according to Scripture. Seems to me that your assertion that it is limited to being in one place at a time is quite "extra-Biblical" is it not? From what tradition does this belief of yours originate?

Anna was the daughter of Matthan the priest, of the tribe of Levi as was Aaron the High Priest. Matthan had three daughters: Mary, Zoia, and Anna. Mary was married in Bethlehem and bore Salome; Zoia was also married in Bethlehem and bore Elizabeth, the mother of St. John the Forerunner; and Anna was married in Nazareth to Joachim, and in old age gave birth to Mary, mother of God.

Really?
Boy i've much to learn of the church of the 7 councils...That is new to me.
Yes really. I'm pretty certain that we have explained that the Divine Liturgy is a participation in the one time sacrifice of Christ on the cross and not a re-sacrifice as Protestants have often accused the Catholic Mass of being. Is that not what you have learned from us?
If you accept our belief that countless millions of points in time throughout history are united to that single event then it should not surprise you that many physical locations are united to one heavenly location in the Divine Liturgy. The one follows the other.

John.

On a side note, did someone run over your cat or something? I may be reading too much into your posts but they seem to me to have become a lot more snarky/sarcastic lately.

By your definition, is it the "nature of being human" to be able to appear and disappear, or appear in another form? Can a man do these things?
Allow me to reword this, do you think that all the divine natures are interchangeable through all 3 persons of the trinity?
Because in my opininion just because Christs glorified body could appear through locked doors does not mean Christs glorified body has the divine nature of omnipresence...And nothing in scripture would even hint toward such an end.

Hi John,
Think maybe your reading to much into my lil words...

Just battling for truth friend, you've not seen me call people "broods of vipers" or the likes yet have you?

Certainly an opinion you are entitled to have -- simply not evidence though to promote as being 'truth' or supported by Scripture and used as 'proof' to refute doctrine.

I see no need to consider whether the 'divine' natures are interchangeable. They are all fully divine. I see no limitations in the divine nature of Christ as opposed to the other two. Do you?

Interesting info. Where did you get it? It is obviously not in the Bible. As with the earlier post elucidating the beliefs surrounding the maternal ancestry of Jesus Christ, it would be helpful if you would provide some idea of the dates and origins of these ideas.

Thanks.

Most of it comes from apocraphal works such as the Gospel of James. Obvisouly not scripture - just interesting...

http://www.earlychristianwritings.com/infancyjames.html

140-170 AD. The terminus a quo is set by the use of Matthew and Luke. The terminus ad quem is set by a reference from Origen and by the Bodmer papyrus. Within this range, a dating in the middle of the second century is most likely. This dating is suggested by the prevalence of harmonies of Matthew and Luke at this time, as shown from Justin Martyr. The Infancy Gospel of James itself may have been dependent on a harmony of Matthew and Luke, but in any case it stands in the harmonizing spirit of the era before the four canonical gospels were considered to be sacred scripture.

Jesus is at the right hand of His Father in heaven. Every time we celebrate the Divine Liturgy it is we who are transported to where He is, not the other way around.

John
"Do you not know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit, who is in you, whom you have received from God? " (1 Cor. 6:19).

Because in my opininion just because Christs glorified body could appear through locked doors does not mean Christs glorified body has the divine nature of omnipresence

that's true we would say (I think). but Christ is One Person with dual natures. in His Divinity, He is still the all knowing, everywhere present God. this is how He knew the thoughts of the Pharasees when they would question Him. so because He is God, He can make His Body and Blood anywhere He wants it to be. He can make the Bread and Wine His Body and Blood without the Bread or Wine ceasing to be either.

that's true we would say to a degree (I think). but Christ is One Person with dual natures. in His Divinity, He is still the all knowing, everywhere present God. this is how He knew the thoughts of the Pharasees when they would question Him (because of His omniscience and omnipresence, not just some hightened intuition). so because He is God, He can make His Body and Blood anywhere He wants it to be.

if He can speak existance into being out of nothing, I am pretty sure He can make the Bread and Wine His Body and Blood in every chalise every Sunday
