Thread: Ancient's Wake
Name: Anna Ballard of Mych
Gender: Female
Age: 22
Height: 5'
Weight: 107
Appearance: Anna would not be considered plain by any means. Her fine brown hair, which falls to the middle of her back in loose waves, holds a natual sheen; her eyes are dark, even darker than her hair, and stick out from behind long, dark lashes. Her skin, naturally smooth and fair, offer a pleasant finish to her features. However, her frame and stature are rather small, smaller than most would find attractive or pleasing. In addition, while being royalty, Anna has never had the luxury of oils and perfumes many would think normal among royals. So, while elegant and regal by nature, Anna's appearance is generally thought very pleasant, but not quite beautiful.
Personality: Anna is often quiet and sometimes mistaken for a timid, shy person; this, however, is exactly the opposite of the truth. Her quietness is due to her common sense; in her mind, if what she has to say could, in no way, improve the circumstance or offer some form of advice, then there was no point in speaking. She would then keep to the bare minimum of answers, when questioned or spoken to.
However, despite her reserve, Anna has an impassioned nature that she rarely ever exposes. She loves the country she lives in; her greatest desire is to see her people flourish and prosper. She believes in their cause down to her very bones, and would do anything to see it come to pass. She loves her family with her whole heart, and grieves over the loss of her brothers and sisters. If life had been a simple one, she might possibly have known what it was like to be in love, with a heart as large as hers. But as destiny would have it, the Princess knew nothing of romance, and rarely ever thought on it. For now her heart was entirely focussed on the success of her people.
Background: The youngest child of King Thaddeus of Mych, Anna grew up around many brothers and sisters. Curious and teachable from a young age, she beagn to watch and learn as her older siblings and half-siblings went about their daily duties. She watched as many of her brothers(for she considered them her full-blooded brothers) went off to battle, some returning, some never to be seen again.
Anna was greated with the knowledge of death at a young age, and although she grieved for each sibling lost, learned to do so in a quiet manner, and to not give in to emotional outbursts. That was how her quiet reserve was formed. The Princess took to reading and learning, eager to improve herself on a daily basis. As she grew into her teenage years, the time when most other Princesses would be anxious to find a suitable husband, Anna was studying. Her father refused to let her learn to fight, declaring that she would never be put into such a situation as the skill would be needed, so she improved her mind.
She now travels with her brother, Desmond. Most, if not all, of her other siblings were dead, she was sure. In her heart she stores their memory, giving her strength to push through the trials surrounding her, and further towards the success of her people.
