I'm particularly fond of the all the catchy rock and roll music in Macross 7. Yoshiki Fukuyama, who provides the singing voice of the main character in the anime, is also in a band called Humming Bird that sounds a lot like Queen.

I also like Yoko Kanno and the Seatbelts' work in Cowboy Bebop -- a great blend of jazz, blues, pop, and some other musical styles. It's nice that a lot of the lyrics for their songs are in English to begin with.

This is one of the most off-the-wall anime I've ever seen
and it is very old now. It is based off of Rumiko Takihashi's?
work just like Ranma 1/2, Inuyasha, and others.
