Children often display anger towards their siblings when they are not feeling that they are receiving enough “One on One” time from a parent. When you see that your children are not playing well together, set aside a “DATE” with each of them individually. Sometimes all it takes with a very young child is to schedule ten to fifteen minutes with each of them right at the moment when they display the poor behavior. Their “date” can be right then for one, with each “date” following the next. You can read a special story to your child, or help him color a picture, make cookies, or whatever will satisfy his need for quality time with you. Make sure that the other children have something to keep them occupied while you spend your special time with each child.
