Hello, everyone! I'm new to the forum and like what I see so far.
As my first post, I would like to propose a devotion that has all but died out in many areas. I know that Father Benedict Groeschel and the rest of the Franciscan Friars of the Renewal are pushing to bring this devotion into common practice again, so I'm going to try to do my part to help them.
Since it's noon where I am, I just finished praying the Angelus and would invite anyone else to join me today and every day...for those who don't know how to pray the Angelus I've provided it below.
Ad Majorum Dei Glorium,
Brent
The angel of the Lord declared unto Mary
And she conceived by the Holy Spirit
Hail Mary...
Behold the handmaid of the Lord
Be it done unto me according to Thy Word
Hail Mary...
The Word was made flesh
And dwelt amongst us
Hail Mary...
Pray for us, O holy Mother of God
That we may be worthy of the promises of Christ
Let us pray
Pour forth, we beseech Thee, O Lord, Thy grace into our hearts,
that we to whom the Incarnation of Christ Your Son,
was made known by the message of an angel,
may, by His Passion and Cross, be brought to the glory of His Resurrection,
through the same Christ our Lord. Amen
