  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

That Angel is commonly understood to be the theophanic angel; and since no man hath seen the Father, the theophanic angel is commonly understood be the Son (Jesus Christ). The next verse in Exodus declares

Beware of him, and obey his voice, provoke him not; for he will not pardon your transgressions: for my name is in him.

Compare that with the psalm:

Kiss the Son, lest he be angry, and ye perish from the way, when his wrath is kindled but a little. Blessed are all they that put their trust in him.

Again, it follows with

But if thou shalt indeed obey his voice, and do all that I speak; then I will be an enemy unto thine enemies, and an adversary unto thine adversaries.

See the underlined words; it is hard to escape the conclusion that the voice of that Angel is the voice of God.

Michael the Archangel, one of the chief princes, is the great prince which standeth for the children of thy people. He is described most often concerned with heavenly battles (he leads the elect angels in the battle with the dragon and the fallen angels). He is not described as commonly interacting with men (or prophets) - Gabriel is the one, the announcer, but Gabriel also does not fit well in the Exodus passage.
