One of the best episodes is episode #14, "The Horse Trader." In the episode, Andy tells Opie that it isn't right to lie about stuff to make it look better and then trade with someone. He then proceeds to try and get rid of the town's old cannon by stretching the truth about its history to an antique dealer. Once Opie finds out, he questions why it's o.k. for grown-ups to "stretch the truth" and not kids. Lesson: integrity means that what is right is always right-even for grown-ups!

My favorite epys are the ones with the Darlins in them. And of course Ernest. Old man Kelsey's Ocekin and Old man kelsey's crick......love the one where he goes to school. I'm only 28 but I grew up watching it and still do sometimes. I would love to have it on DVD.

One the best things about it was they were all good actors and most of them went on to be bigger stars, Andy Griffth became Matlock, and of course the whole Happy Days with Opie, and Don Knotts on Three Company, sometimes you can even catch ernest in something although right now I can't think of anything.

Another best or fave of mine was the one where Barney sings in the choir and is lipping to the tall man with the deep voice. With all his flaws Andy went thought hoops to make him feel good. Yes it was a good show and will forever be.
