For those of you who do not know already, one of our brothers has suffered a great loss this past week. Andrew Lafrance, son of Scott Lafrance, lost in his battle against many medical conditions on March 25, 2006. Andrew was just two years old, but he set a great example for all of us. He was a fighter, and through his many struggles, he stayed strong. Through his loving father, I got to know Andrew, I heard of his hard times and his family times, I saw the love that Scott had for him in the words that Scott spoke. Scott would have done anything for that little boy, as he would for any of his children, and any of his friends. Now that Andrew is in a better place, no longer suffering, we should look upon him with new eyes, instead of a suffering little boy, he was a blessing, an example to all of us. We should be blessed with the lives we have, not the ones we want. And know that every struggle is a blessing, and every loved one, an angel.

I never knew you Andrew, only the all out determination of your father's quest to make you a shining star among stars... his love was unwavering it seemed and everyone was touched by how much a father could fight for you, his child. So that you know it, I will always remember what he did for you and this inspires me even more as I work with children like you everyday. Please be safe in Heaven and be so proud of your gracious and kind father. He misses you deeply and we will take care of him for you.

"When his son, Andrew, passed away, Scott said "I like to think of it more as gaining a patron saint, than losing a son"....that moved me so deeply to seek a greater trust in the workings of the Lord. Bless you Scott and family as you adjust to life without Andrew....
Shannon McCatholic"There are many others of your friends and family here on Christian Forums that also wanted to extend their condolences. We will continue our prayers for you and your family, Scott.
