Andrew Murray’s formula for trails.
"Say, He brought me here. It is by His will I am in this strange place and in this fact I will rest.
1. He will keep me here in His love and give me grace to behave as His child.
2. Then He will make the trail a blessing, teaching me the lessons He intends for me to learn.
In His good time He can bring me out again—how and when He knows, So let me say, I am (1) here God’s appointment; (2) in His keeping; (3) under His training; (4) for His time."

#1 "...He will keep me here in His love..." tends to hint at Calvinism and goes against our 9th doctrine. It's US who choose to remain in His love, and not Him who keeps us. We have free-will to come and stay, while He'll always embrace us back but will never force us to stay. Make sense?

Yeah but it's me who chooses to ask Him to keep me in His love ;) :sorry:

Isn't that a waist of time? If He's only going to keep you as long as you choose to stay in Him, then asking Him to keep you is pointless. The real thing to pray for is to have Him help you to stay in Him, not ask Him to do it for you: which is contrary to Scripture.

Semantics.
