Peace in Christ.
The earth BECAME (Hebrew: "hayah" = to be, become) without form and void as mankind became without the form of God’s righteousness and became void of His knowledge.
Man must now HEAR the knowledge of God by the Son who comes to speak the “true and faithful” words of God in the Spirit of Truth to our hearing ears in the “regeneration” of man who became without God's righteousness and void of His knowledge and his foolish heart was darkened.
And God said, let there be light (He IS light)….and there was light.
The confirming evidence that we shall have that this is indeed the presence of our Lord speaking to us from Heaven via the Spirit of God is that Light that will dawn and shine within our very own once-darkened hearts. The light will shine brighter and brighter when we shall hear His voice speaking to us.
The light shall shine more and more until the darkness within our hearts shall completely dissipate (the accumulative evenings and the mornings) like the light of the 7th day of the creation where there was no night.
The more we hear, the more knowledge shall be given. If we don’t believe, that light will disappear and darkness will come upon us.
Mar 4:23-24 KJV
(23) If any man have ears to hear, let him hear.
(24) And he said unto them, Take heed what ye hear: with what measure ye mete, it shall be measured to you: and unto you that hear shall more be given.
That shining light is the witness of God within our very own hearts that confirms that this is His beloved Son whom we are to hear as the Son opens up the Scriptures to our hearing ears.
The evidence is within our very own hearts.
Luke 24:32 KJV
(32) And they said one to another, Did not our heart burn within us, while he talked with us by the way, and while he opened to us the scriptures?
The voice of strangers (false prophets) do not currently have that effect upon our hearts.
They must rely upon performing outward things (“great signs”) to show us and giving eloquent speeches (wonderous good words and fair speeches) to deceive us…deceiving the heart…. into following them. No light within the heart....just deception deceiving the hearts of people.
Rom 16:18 KJV
(18) For they that are such serve not our Lord Jesus Christ, but their own belly; and by good words and fair speeches deceive the hearts of the simple.
Not so with the hearing of the Lord’s voice who comes to open up the Scriptures to our understanding so that we may know Him who is true.
The light shines in a dark place…our very own hearts.
The “day star”…that is, the MORNING STAR…arises in our hearts when we hear the Son speaking.
This rising of the morning Light in our heart is the sign of the Son of man’ s presence who comes to interpret the Scriptures in the knowledge of God…the true revealed Word of God… as contrasted to the word of natural men. The disciples heard a voice from Heaven...but we today have a more sure word that takes place within our very own hearts that this is His Son whom we are to attentively hear.
2 Peter 1:
(19) We have also a more sure word of prophecy; whereunto ye do well that ye take heed, as unto a light that shineth in a dark place, until the day dawn, and the day star (MORNING STAR) arise in your hearts:
(20) Knowing this first, that no prophecy of the scripture is of any private interpretation.
We are to then respond to the Light with light (and there was light). God is light…and we must walk with Him in the light also as He is light.
Gen 1:3-5
(3) And God said, “He is light”: and there was light.
(4) And God saw the light, that it was good: and God divided the light from the darkness.
(5) And God called the light Day, and the darkness he called Night. And the evening and the morning were the first day.
God divided the light from the darkness.
We are children of light and the children of the day and not of the night nor of darkness. Let us “watch”…that is, “awake” to His righteousness…. and be “sober” and not be found of Him “drunk” on the wine of wrath and forgetting to do good when we hear His voice today.
1Th 5:5-8 KJV
(5) Ye are all the children of light, and the children of the day: we are not of the night, nor of darkness.
(6) Therefore let us not sleep, as do others; but let us watch and be sober.
(7) For they that sleep sleep in the night; and they that be drunken are drunken in the night.
(8) But let us, who are of the day, be sober, putting on the breastplate of faith and love; and for an helmet, the hope of salvation.
Let no man deceive our hearts with vain, empty words.
God divided the light from the darkness. We must no longer be partakers with those of the “night” and with those who are still “asleep” to His righteousness and who will behave badly (in the works of “darkness”) towards the hearing of His voice as they will react with evil in their unbelief of what they hear Him saying.
Eph 5:6-9 KJV
(6) Let no man deceive you with vain words: for because of these things cometh the wrath of God upon the children of disobedience.
(7) Be not ye therefore partakers with them.
“….and there was light”.
We were sometimes (that is…. in times past) darkness but now we are light in the Lord and so we must walk as children of light by showing forth light….the good things ( all goodness and righteousness and truth) when we hear His voice.
We must manifest …shine forth…our inward faith in Him by our outward good deeds (producing the fruit of the Spirit). "Walking" is a continuous activity. We must walk as children of light.
(8) For ye were sometimes darkness, but now are ye light in the Lord: walk as children of light:
(9) (For the fruit of the Spirit is in all goodness and righteousness and truth)
We are to “awake” from our sleep (casting off the works of darkness: the wrath, envy and strife, contentions, etc.) and “arise from the dead” (be no longer partakers with them) and Christ shall give us light….the knowledge of God.
Eph 5:
(14) Wherefore he saith, Awake thou that sleepest, and arise from the dead, and Christ shall give thee light.
(15) See then that ye walk circumspectly, not as fools, but as wise,
(16) Redeeming the time, because the days are evil.
(17) Wherefore be ye not unwise, but understanding what the will of the Lord is.
Be not found of Him “drunk with wine”….that is, the wine of wrath…when we hear His words but be filled with the Spirit when the Christ gives us light…the knowledge of God.
(18) And be not drunk with wine, wherein is excess; but be filled with the Spirit;
(19) Speaking to yourselves in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody in your heart to the Lord;
If we are angry, we must not speak…sinning. We must overcome our wrath when we hear His voice speaking to us. It will not conform to our own religious thoughts and ways.
Don’t let the sun (the light) go down upon our wrath if we initially become angry with what we hear. Don't give place to the devil....not letting the devil's evil words come out of our mouths in our wrath. We must not be the "devil's advocate" so to speak.
Eph 4:26-27 KJV
(26) Be ye angry, and sin not: let not the sun go down upon your wrath:
(27) Neither give place to the devil.
While the light is with us, we are to walk in the light….lest the darkness come upon us. The sun will "go down" if we do not overcome.
We must believe in that light within us and bring forth good fruit toward the hearing of His voice. We must take heed on how we hear His voice that speaks the knowledge of our God to our hearing ears.
Joh 12:35-37 KJV
(35) Then Jesus said unto them, Yet a little while is the light with you. Walk while ye have the light, lest darkness come upon you: for he that walketh in darkness knoweth not whither he goeth.
If we do not believe in what we hear (not outwardly manifesting our faith), then Jesus “departs” and hides Himself from us. The "morning star" goes down. The light goes down and darkness comes upon us. The sun goes down.
(36) While ye have light, believe in the light, that ye may be the children of light. These things spake Jesus, and departed, and did hide himself from them.
(37) But though he had done so many miracles before them, yet they believed not on him:
