But “The Chosen” is truly a work of the Holy Spirit. I was so blown away by it when I first saw it that I binge watched it for two whole nights! I Love The Chosen. I have the zip up hoodie and 1st season of dvds and am in the Chosen fan club on face book. Definitely a series to see.

Oh good. There are so many different subforums, I forget which ones you have to be that denomination for. I think for the most part it is already locked if you cannot. I just look on the new topics and saw my fandom. What a very powerful series.

I have not seen it yet but it has certainly peaked my interest with all these positive reviews.

I am wanting to definitely see it. I think where I live would make streaming difficult though.

I'm not yet done with the series.

Anyway, I like it. I do have some issues with it (not on a bible related issue) but over all, this is one of the best bible/gospel inspired shows I've seen.

I love the actors and how they portrayed their characters, especially Matthew and Nicodemus.

The episodes are paid for by someone who watched it. I'm actually going to contribute some money because I would love a season 2 and it's great to see a series like this being put out and this well done, especially in our times right now.

It is! But during covid, I don't even think streaming has had to be paid by someone. I don't know how long they had that or if they are still doing it since I have the dvds

Actor in ‘The Chosen’ Hopes to Lead People ‘to Christ in Some Way’

there are some writing problems I have with the show that I would like to address..

1st problem I have is St Peter.

I get that there are theologians who say that St Peter was short-tempered (which could have factored in the writing), it's just in this series, Peter's attitude at times was more like an adolescent jock of some low tier HS football team.

St Matthew looks like he has Asperger's Syndrome. I don't recall this being theological belief and I am not sure if they wrote Matthew to have Aspergers, if the Actor has it, or they just wrote this behavior without even knowing it looks like Aspergers. While I do think it made Matthew here very interesting, it does open up a logical plot hole which is: why won't Jesus heal him? If indeed they just wrote it in.
