  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

You asked a question and I answered it.
So, your answer is: "Well, yeah, nobody chooses to be tormented for all eternity, as that is indeed a ridiculous rationalization, but my God can inflict whatever suffering he chooses because might makes right"?

If not, feel free to clarify your response.

And you do not see that this answer of yours is morally bankrupt? Just making sure that I understand you correctly.

She certainly appears lucid to me. What is the purpose of your question?

The purpose of my question ..is a question was posed I have answered said question from my point of view and yet she seems to be having difficulty to understand the meaning of asked and answered.

God forgive the contemptuous irreverent mockers who condemn and personally attack a man who has given his life to holding hope for all people by bringing them what he believes at least, is salvation. I guess it doesn't matter to anyone that worthless demonic evil personally attacks someone who isn't a member here. You all suck! And when you die you'll find out what your mockery shall cost. Forever.

Just say you're sorry and join the Party, and your file will be deleted while the Buddhist nurse who devoted all of her life to the welfare of the suffering will still suffer eternally for "choosing hell".
Please learn this passage from Romans 2.

12 For as many as have sinned without law shall also perish without law; and as many as have sinned in the law shall be judged by the law;
13 (for not the hearers of the law are just before God, but the doers of the law shall be justified.
14 For when the Gentiles, which have not the law, do by nature the things contained in the law, these, having not the law, are a law unto themselves:
15 which show the work of the law written in their hearts, their conscience also bearing witness, and their thoughts the mean while accusing or else excusing one another)
16 in the day when God shall judge the secrets of men by Jesus Christ according to my gospel.

Understand that God is just. Those who have no knowledge of the law but who keep the law in their hearts will be judged according to their hearts. Does that mean that the Bhuddist nurse will go to Hell? No. Does it mean she will be accepted into Heaven? That's for Jesus to decide. Jesus said, "No man comes unto the Father but by me." The surest way to gain admission is to be a follower of Christ. Does that preclude all who are not Christians? Not necessarily. If Jesus deems them fit to enter then they will enter. If Jesus says they can not enter because they worshiped a false god, then they will not enter. Perhaps they will escape damnation but be destroyed. Perhaps they will be allowed into heaven but will never be allowed near the Father.

The thing to realize is that without the shedding of blood there is no remission of sin. We are saved via the blood sacrifice of Christ. Those who do not accept His sacrifice for their sins are not forgiven. When they stand before God at the final judgement the Bible says that if they are outside of the law they will be judged outside of the law. That doesn't say they're going to Hell and it doesn't say they're going to heaven. It would be better if we could reach the Bhuddist nurse and show her the truth so she would KNOW she's going to heaven. As for us, we have heard the law and so we are under the law. If you reject salvation then you are condemned by your rejection; not the malevolent action of a sinister god that somehow is less perfect than you.

I merely asked you to clarify your answer, lest I misrepresent your point of view. It's a gesture of courtesy, not a lack of understanding: I'm merely giving you the benefit of the doubt, but from your replies, it seems that you really *do* believe that your God has every right to subject sapient beings to unending torment, courtesy of his power.
And it's still perfectly clear that nobody would ever "choose" eternal torment.

The thing to realize is that without the shedding of blood there is no remission of sin.

Nathan told David he was forgiven and his sin would be remembered no more when he confessed his sin and no blood was shed for the sacrifice. Solomon told the people that if they were carried away to a foreign land and turned back to HaShem and confessed their sins they would be forgiven and their sins not remembered with no instruction to complete a blood sacrifice. I really can't accept the above statement as true when the text in the Bible shows otherwise.

Would you be upset if you got to heaven (assuming that our conscious selves from this life are still intact in an afterlife) and there was more then just Christians there?

I think a lot of people would be upset.
