I was looking at some pictures I found on yahoo and this one caught my attion
I started to wonder:
Who could thease people in the drawing be?
Whats the signnifacans on that amulett?
Why is he giving it to her?
Whats the story behind it?
And then I started to wonder what stories could be behind some of the pics
that I've seen and liked. Could an rpg be made about one?
If so which one? And who would like to join?
OK we have our pictures. Now for our characters, and plot.

OKAY.......Heres what NavyGuy has sofar posted about the Kalv'Shan, Om'Shan, and Sorceress'
I'm not quite sure what order its in, I'll try and fix it up a bit and see what else can be can be added later.
Actually, as far as James goes, you aren't too far off. He IS a sort of battlemage. But in the stories I wrote with him in it, he is a Hunter, which is basically like being Judge, Jury, and Executioner. He's a judge, but he takes down the more threatening lawbreakers/madmen that could rip the world to pieces. An Om'Shan is your basic upholder of the law, and they all follow one leader: the Kalv'Shan. SO he's like the head honcho of the judicial system. But I can tweak his class a bit to your liking. James Mardai is the result of using another character and tweaking him a bit. He came from the character I call Risr Lanis---so, I know! I could use my Risr character and give him a few of James' traits, so I'll mix the two! And Ayliana is a good name. Actually, I wouldn't have to tweak James very much. Risr Lanis and James are very close together, except for a few differences in clothing, hair, and weapons, as well as magical strength.
I'll add more to his bio later, as needed.
What's the plot? If we've decided on the amulet's powers, then who is seeking it? And for what end?
Oh, and if you all want to join my newest RPG, go to the Stone of Eternity OOC thread, or just post in the actual thread in the New Worlds section. At least read it, and see if it intrigues you. The link is below.
Om'Shan is the subordinate title. There is only one Kalv'Shan, but any duo of Om'Shan/Sorceress functions in much the same way, with maybe a few differing abilities shared between the two. I have an idea for the use of magic, as well. It could be in their blood. You could call it Magick, or Lifeblood, and the more they use the weaker they become (the more you practice the more endurance you have, like exercising) and if you use a spell beyond your abilities in can lead to death. Other than that, it's pretty much the same as any other magic use, only the same spell used by, say, and Om'Shan with Magick in his blood is much stronger than a normal magic user who uses spell forms/incantations. Tell me where I've lost you, now, and we'll go from there. LOL.
Oh, and by the way, the Kalv'Shan is chosen for not only his leadership skills and morals, but his magical strength for the most part. He's a little stronger than other Om'Shan, but not by too much.
One more thing about Om'Shan. They have the power to topple corrupt (and I mean everyone's suffering, total cancer on the land kind of corrupt) kings. It affects the whole nation, though, so it is rarely done.
If I think of any more, I'll tell ya, or it will be revealed through the story. I never went into too much depth when it came to the Om'Shan, other than that their city, Amra, is the training grounds for new Hunters and Sorceresses.
mm......usually, they choose each other, sometimes, but sometimes if there is more than one claim for a sorceress, there is a magical battle between the two Om'Shan...and vice versa, though it is rare.
Oh, the Om'Shan and Sorceress must maintain physical contact in order to meld their power into one superpower
I have an idea for a bad guy already. You could be the Shade.
A Shade is created when someone who is powerful enough in the ways of magic abuses that magic, whether for good or ill, and as a way of balancing such a force, Magic itself creates an opposite, one with all the powers of the original person, but with opposite alignment. James is a good guy, thus his Shade, known as the Dark Hunter/Kalv'Shan, will be a bad guy, nearly his twin in every way except for his red pupils, as opposed to James' gold pupils. Just a thought, if you want to control him. It'll be the Shade's main mission to seek out James and destroy him.
As far as this bond thing, it's not necessary to do the Life bond thing, but let's say that certain duos are that committed. By forming this special bond their powers are more attuned to each other, and they both have slightly longer life. As for James and Ayli, they aren't bonded at all. The war kept James from finishing the very last part of his training; bonding with a Sorceress. He had to leave or the world would have been covered in darkness. He barely stopped Rakar from conquering the world, after all.
James was brought up in a village where no one can use magic. It was forbidden and highly regarded as sinful. His parents didn't necessarily agree with it, but they wanted to live away from the mainland of Na'Damor. We'll call the world something else for the sake of this RPG.
James came to find that he was invulnerable to fire. Upon reaching the age of sixteen, he found out he was able to use magic. He hopped the next ship to the mainland, where his adventures brought him to Joline, whose prophecies led him to Amra. Amra was his training grounds, but once it was found out that he was the next Kalv'Shan, he had to leave for a previous city he'd visited, for it was the centerpoint for a spell to gain power over the universe, and someone was trying to invoke the spell. The wizard Rakar. James stopped him, but he had to use a great deal of magic to do so, and that is how the Shade was created.
As for the bonding, it's a simple matter of a spellform and a simple merging of the couple's Magick, through touch.
And heres what ya'll have come up with...I think I got it right.
To work out the whole "counterpart to your power" thing, I was thinking that the magic heiarchy could work like this:
Kalv'Shan are soldier-mages, men trained in both fighting and magic.
Sorceresses are women who are trained solely in magic.
In the study of magic, Kalv'Shan and sorceresses are put into pairs. The sorceresses' and Kalv'Shans' energies are somehow tied.
I was thinking that some Kalv'Shan can transfer their life force (or something like that) into an amulet, and that would be where James giving Ayli the amulet comes in.
It's still pretty rough, but what do you guys think?
Kalv'Shan (I think I like Kalv Shan or Kalv-Shan better): Soldier-mages whose magic is dependent on sorceresses, who are magically bonded to them.
Sorceresses: Women trained in magic who help the Kalv-Shan fight by casting the proper spells. EX: A spell that puts a sheild around their Kalv-Shan. (Only works when the Sorceress is on the battlefield or near it.)
Still not sure how we'd work out the amulet thing...
That sounds good....And then they give them to their sorceresses to protect?
As for the whole "magically bonded" thing, I was thinking that it could kind of be like arranged marriages or something. A Kalv-Shan doesn't have to marry his sorceress, but he can't marry anyone else. What do you think?
maybe they do it for protection in times of danger?

I thought of another idea regarding the amulet....
A Kalv-Shan can put an imprint of himself in the amulet--life force, conciousness, etc.--so that if he's fatally wounded, his sorceress can revive him. BUT, there's always the chance that the amulet will be stolen etc. by someone with evil intentions.
