  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

An idea?

I was thinking last night and I thought it might be neat to send information to celebraties about Jesus Christ, They really won't know who we are and the only thing that can happen is that someone will eventually read one of the messages we send and it might make a difference in their life....

It doesn't have to be the celebraty that reads the message, just as long as someone reads it....

But if the celebraties do end up reading it, and actually accept it, then they will be some of the biggest role models to younger kids....If some of these guys see that their favorite star/singer has accepted Jesus Christ, it might make them want to check it out....

Am I making any sence here?

Just five or ten minutes wrighting up a message to someone who has a substancial impact on the world, and then it is up to whoever checks the mail to pass it on....it would be awesome if more than one person would be willing to do this, more people to help!

Just an idea, but it might work out...

God Bless :)

Well, it's a good idea, but I'm sure it's been tried before. Don't let me get in your way of trying, though. I'm just not sure that it would even get to the celebrities, and if it did, they would probably just toss it. Most of them don't care much about it anyway. Although I do agree that it would be nice if some of the more famous people would turn to God, as that would influence lots of the young people today.

I think this is a great idea. There's absolutely no downside, here. If they decide to toss it, then... oh well. We certainly haven't impacted them negatively. And if they actually get a chance to read it, then there's going to be a seed planted inside of them. I highly doubt that a letter from an effectively anonymous fan will cause an instant conversion. Let's not hold any illusions about that. But every little bit that they hear from a Christian will build up, and it will all contribute to their eventual conversion, if it is God's will for this particular person to be saved. I say that we should all write at least one letter to a celebrity icon. Like I said, there's no downside. What? You lose ten minutes from your video games? You could write this during the car ride home from school. All you'd have to say is, "Hey, why don't you go to church sometime? Talk to someone there? It won't kill ya." Boom. You're done. You could mass produce something like that. Maybe you could even put in some references to some good apologetic books. It can't hurt anybody. There's absolutely no excuse not to do it.
