I talked to a good friend of mine last night... and here's some of his thoughts on the war :D

"I Prefer to be called American-Arab. Because I am an American and very proud of that! I just happen to have been born in the Middle East."

He also continued to say that after watching Al-Jezzera (spelling?) and being able to read and understand what they are saying... he says that he strongly believes Saddam Hussein is still alive.

I couldn't help but ask him what his family (many of whom are in and around Iraq) thinks of this whole spectacle. He said that he is very for the war and getting rid of Saddam. He said that his family in Iraq is also for it, though they are not allowed to speak freely of it for fear of being "punished"

Yes America, where we are free to express if we think Bush is an idiot (which obviously many of the Anti War/ Pro Peace say on a daily basis) the Iraqis who we are trying to free do not have that right. They're precious president has their phone lines tapped, and doesn't allow them to speak of ANYTHING, and if they do...they are punished... by death (and not a simple electric chair type death either.)

Just some food for your thoughts.

Thanks Jacque!

Its good to get other peoples views. Exspecially from someone who actually has first hand experience with what it is like to live under the regime of Sadam. Those are the people who's opions matter. Not some stuck up Hollywood actor, who lives in a cushy house in Beverly Hills and has no clue what is truely going on over there. I wish the news would start showing more of those opions.

The American Media tends to think we want nothing but hollywood's opinions!!

Why can't they interview some of these people from our Country! There are plenty of them here... and they have more to say on this (other than what they heard from a friend, who heard from her cousin who heard from her uncle who heard from his mom who apparently at one point in her life talked to a gentleman who she saw talking to someone who she had seen talking to someone who appeared to be of arab desent)

lol love that . I dragged my younger daughter and hubby to a Musluim open house type thing last fall. we erer the only whites there that day--it was a two day event. It was put on by a musuim womens group in our area. only one man talked to me.but the women were very nice. my hubby hated it and couldn t wait to leave but I couldn t see the harm in it. we got to observe a call to prayer and the men praying.
