  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

Hello to everyone,

I'm new here (from Canada). I have come here for several different reasons.

I'm in need of fellowship. I am a conservative Christian and find that most/all of the churches that are available to me are liberal or espouse liberal values and focus on such things as the homeless (when the much greater need is the issue of abortion) and politically correct viewpoints.

I want to reach out and have fellowship with like-minded Christians who put God first and foremost above everything else and who are aware of what it means to "take up our cross".

The Christian faith should be affecting every aspect of our lives but I find that many compartmentalize their faith. As well, many pastors who are trained in our modern seminaries encourage an unholy merger of the world and our Christian faith which greatly dilutes the power of the gospel.

I think you'll find there are Christians that are both liberal and conservative, or even a completely different viewpoint politically, but what unites us is Christ and that is in the end why we're all here. Each church is different so I'm sorry you feel the churches you've been to are more worldly I've honestly seen both sides when it comes to church. I try to at the end of the day act the way Jesus wants me to and not necessarily the political party I'm associated with. I know for me even though I might lean a certain way politically there are still things I disagree with in my party so ultimately it is Christ that I align my morals and ideals with, and that means treating everyone with love even if they don't agree with me (may not always be easy but it's what Jesus would want)

Hello and welcome my friend! As Christian we are all called to minister to one degree or another. Usually if we see a need that is not being fulfilled it is because we are to fulfill it. So Get the word out, share the Gospel and do all you can to tend to the needs of the people. It is our mission because it is part of who we are in Christ Jesus.
So once again welcome to the forum. Looking forward to hearing from you.
Take care
