  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Why are these even being quoted?
Please see post #49.

Should a Christian wife submit to a husband or a Christian husband love a wife who is one of these unrepentant sinners/evildoers/law-breakers whom God hates or rejects(as enemies).? ...

PROVERBS.6: =
16 These six things the Lord hates,
Yes, seven are an abomination to Him:
17 A proud look,
A lying tongue,
Hands that shed innocent blood,
18 A heart that devises wicked plans,
Feet that are swift in running to evil,
19 A false witness who speaks lies,
And one who sows discord among brethren.

1CORINTHIANS.6: = 9 Do you not know that the unrighteous will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived. Neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor homosexuals, nor sodomites, 10 nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortioners will inherit the kingdom of God.

And.....The husband is also commanded to submit....
Ephesians 5:21
Submitting yourselves one to another in the fear of God.

It begins at home.
If the husband loves his wife as Christ loves the church, he serves her. Jesus came as a servant.

I love that book! If you weren't brought up that way it might be tough at first but it's very motivating and inspiring.

I see no relevance to post #49 but thank you for your reply.

I do see a very one sided view of God being portrayed in your verses which isn't pertinant to the topic at hand in the OP. (One of the verses you pasted was cut short to the extent it portrayed the opposite meaning than when our Lord and Saviour spoke them. It surprised me)
