Am I being called to preach

Hello,

I am having a dilemma. How do I know if I am being called to preach? I have a VERY VERY STRONG desire and urge to want to preach, but I am scared. You see I have been out of my church for a long time and I am really scared what people might say. I am also scared that I dont have the necessary knowledge to be a minister. I feel like I dont know what I want to know. I want to preach and minister, but my main dilemma is "is this what God has for me". Someone, please help me....

Be calm, If this is what God wants you to do he'll get you there. Pray Pray Pray, ask for wisdom. Go back to church ( you don't have to go to your old one if you don't want to, let God lead you to the church) Read the bible, Talk to your friends and family ( though if they don't see this for you don't be discouraged) Talk to ministers, pastors, priests. Get active in your church, ask to go to council meetings. Look at seminaries and bible colleges online find out what the requirements are for entrance. I'm not a Baptist so I don't know the process they go through to become ordained. For Lutherans you have to have a Bachelors degree to enter seminary and recieve a call from your synod, then it's four years more of school. This is a lifetime journey and there's no need to be in a hurry you're on God's time not your own if you're called it'll happen. Let me know a bit more about you, what kind of ministry do you feel called to etc. Most of all you're in Highschool concentrate on getting good grades so that if you decide you are called you won't be held back because of them.
