Although I was told that if a kid is five or older that they could not share a room with someone of the opposite sex. But I do not know that I believe the source much. She says that is what her friend told her because she got in trouble for not having her kids separated. Who knows if it is true......I have heard other people say something similar. To me that is completely stupid. But one person posted up here that they talked to SS worker and they said that it did not matter. So that is probably the case, unless it is different according to state.
We live in a 2 bedroom house and have 5 kids
The oldest 4 share a room and the baby is in our room. If we won;t be able to afford to add on- then eventually we'll give up our room to the girls and but a really cozy sofa bed for us to sleep on.
I checked with social services and they said that there is no issue with children sharing a room --and no limitation on how many kids or anything.
