Wait. That's it. If Algerinai was hiding here in this part of the city, the pop up region, than it would almost be impossible for us to find it. Smart. Very smart. I almost gave up hope, when all of a sudden, I could hear static in the air. The outside. The people at OnTech have finally broken through again, for enough time to download something and to check up on our progress.
Kaine? Kaine........can......hear me? It was Lucas Jimini's voice. At the sound of it, I cringed, hatred bubbling up in the depths of my soul.
"You're all staticky, Lucas," I responded.
How...progress? How are things going?
"We're close. But Algerinai hid itself amazingly well. We need help from your end."
A...locator program?
"That should be enough," I told him. Once we had that, we might be able to get to Algerinai.
Stand by....
As we waited, I began to hear the sounds of a dog in the distance. Than it came around the bend, a small, bloodhound looking dog. Cute, I thought. This was the program we were looking for. It would start sniffing, and track down Algerinai, and all we had to do was follow it.
Losing contact......again in three hours.... His voice was breaking up. And then even the static was gone. We had lost them. We were on our own again.

We all followed close behind the small dog. It seemed absorbed in its hunt, and barely even noticed us. Down alleyway after alleyway. This part of the city was so complicated, since it was constructed of so many layers of advertisements. I soon realized that if we ever found Algerinai, I wouldn't be able to find my way back. But I decided to worry about that later, and until then, follow the dog. Programs were all over the place, mainly programs that fixed and maintained all this adverertising junk. I realized that even if this dog had a trail, this might take a while.
