  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Saw him live for the first time Saturday night. I'd been a fan of his for over 10 years, and it was awesome to finally get to see him. He sounds as awesome in real life as he does on his CD's. I'll go to another concert of his in a heartbeat if I get the chance.

So...anyone else out there share my fanaticism?

Alan Jackson is a great singer, and I like the material he chooses to record. I've never seen him live in concert, but I would like to -- because I think he has one of the hottest bands picking for him (instrumentally) that is out there touring today.

If his band showed up, without Alan, I'd still pay top dollar to go and see them pick!!!

Those boys are gooooood!!!

We all know what "comfort food" is, right? I call his music "comfort music".

Last summer, my mom and I took a trip down to Nashville, TN, to visit her friend, and we stayed at the Opryland. My mom got us tickets to the Grand Ole Opry for one night. We found out two days before we left that Alan Jackson was going to be there --- and that they were going to be filming his music video for "Too much of a good thing." After all the performances, they told us that we could stick around if we would like, so my mom and i went down to the stage, and I got to stand right next to the stage as they were filming it, and you can see me in the music video if you look really closely!!!
