  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

I know that it is common for children and teens to move around alot when a parent is in the army from army base to army base. They are known as army brats. However, I was wandering if children and teens who have a parent in the air force move around as much from air force base to air force base as someone who is in the army?

Generally speaking, I don't think the Air Force moves its people around quite as much as the Army does, but they do get moved around from time to time. I think the frequency of transfers depends on the parent's job specialty and how important it is in current operations. My dad was a linguist in the Air Force. We moved around a lot during the final years of the cold war, moving from Japan to the US to Berlin in the first few years after I was born. Once the Wall came down though, my dad was sent to NSA and worked there for 11 years.
