  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

I'm just wondering what people's opinions, as Christians, are on the horror movie genre. Both the thriller and the slasher fic.
I mean I've heard a lot of people say that we have to be careful with what we subject ourselves to, etc. But personally I love a good scary movie and I think so long as your not getting any ideas from it, and taking it as it is, being just a movie; it's not all that bad.
Just wondering what you guys think.

I love horror too, but lately I don't go in for the slashers - they're just boring. I like my horrors a bit... classier (vampires are always good), and with some kind of meaning behind them. Psychological thrillers are good, too.

I do love a good horror movie. Like a rare gem they are precious.

I watched Texas Chainsaw Massacre(original in new widescreen) 3 times this year.
An absolute master piece! Halloween, and Friday the 13th are carbon copys of that movie in many ways.
Its a classic, and like all classics time doesn't deminish them.

if you think you can be corrupted or "tricked" into thinking bad things, don't go see any horror movies. if you can enjoy a movie for what it is - entertainment, then by all means go see whatever you want.

i hate horror movies because most aren't scary but there are the random exceptions.
