17 mos between #1 & #2
3.5 yrs between #2 & #3
23 mos between #3 & #4 (#3 passed away so there is actually 5.5 yrs between #2 & #4)
23 mos between #4 & #5
29 mos between #5 & #6
4 yrs 4 mos between #6 & #7
22 mos between #7 & #8
23 mos between #8 & #9
and there will be 1 mo shy of 6 yrs between #9 & #10

The hardest, for me, was the 17 mos between #1 & #2, and the easiest... well, I was so relieved that #4 was healthy when she was born after everything we went through with #3, that it _seemed_ like she was the perfect baby. It probably was the big age difference between her & #2 though... (Which gives me hope for this one. :p )

I don't know if I should post here or not yet. We are quiverfull but only have 2 kiddos so far. There is 2 years and 363 days exactly between my oldest and my youngest. We are now just waiting to see if the Lord blesses us with another.

Welcome! Quiverfull isn't about numbers, it's about attitude. And I post here even though my DH isn't quiverfull, so anyway.....

1yr, 363 days between 1 & 2

2 yr, 3 mo between 2 & 3

2 yr, 6mo between 3 & 4

I don't think any one gap was harder than another. When #3 was born we went through a very rough patch because of other issues, but a longer gap wouldn't have changed that.

All right well I notice how many of you have lots close and young. Can you give me tips on how to maintain order in the home as the family grows, and take care of myself as well as the kids? I already know this baby is on the way, and I am trying to picture if a 4th is given to us I could have 4 under 5 or 6.... and I am just picturing the general needfest.... oh and we will be homeschooling

Everybody is different with different needs. This is especially so with different GROUPS of somebodies.

This calls for a different mentality than the contraceptive norm. Besides budgeting money, you will have to prioritize where you give your time. Some things are worth the time you spend and other things waste time that you could have shared with your family. This is still true, if God has decided to give a couple a small family.

With multiple mentally disabled family members (including DW), we haven't attempted home-schooling. So I can't answer that one, but I suppose it would depend on how cooperative your particular family is.

Gal. 3:3 reminds us that what was begun in the Spirit cannot be attained with just human effort.

Isaiah 40:11 promises,

"He tends his flock like a shepherd:
He gathers the lambs in his arms
and carries them close to his heart;
he gently leads those that have young."

The best thing you can do is pray and watch for His prompting.

2ys 8 months between SD and DD
16 months between #2 and #3
15 months between #3 and #4
12 months and one day between #4 and #5

for me the hardest was one yr and a day apart and still is not just because of all the things parents must do to raise their kids but because i hate my kids being so close to having the same birthday. as a matter of fact they were born 6/3/03 at 2:25 am and 6/4/04 at 2:30 am

21 months between #1 and#2 (miscarried #2)
28 months between #2 and #3
21 months between #4 and#5
23 months between #5 and#6 due in Sept

We get pregnant every other January, and even though we were going to try to prevent it this year by having my husband sleep on the couch in Jan and Feb, God played us a mean trick and we got pregnant in Dec :D(we're very happy about it though)daughter because we got pregnant with her in April two weeks after my miscarriage.
I think our easiest was #1 and #3 and our hardest was #3 and 4 and 5 because we had two babies to handle while dealing with a little toddler (of course, they're all toddlers still).
