There is no one on this forum who doubts that creation is truth. Evolution is simply how God formed every living creature. The Big Bang, likewise, is showing how God formed the first things in this universe. It was ultimately God who decided what atom goes where, because God enjoys toying with things ( ) !

We do not doubt God, we doubt your interpretation of God's Word.

Well, lets break this down this time.

Firstly, creation is truth, but how did it happen? That is why we have the big bang theory.

The bible may be 100% truth, but only if your interpretation shows it that way. If you view it literally, you will find that it is full of holes because that is not how it is meant to be interpreted.

Third, we are christians, we have rejected nothing except your interpretation of the bible.

Yamijoku, since you make several statements that are not necessarily rationally related, your statements may generate a variety of responses.

Your first statement indicates that you apparently are "Against the big bang theory!"--but you do not back up your assertion with any reasons or evidence. If there are reasons (either scientific or biblical) why you oppose the big bang theory, it may be helpful to list them.

Although your Christian brothers and sisters may be split on whether they agree with the big bang theory, I suspect that virtually all of them will agree that God created the universe. Having polled the Christians on this board, I can assure you that there are a variety of beliefs among Christians as to the age of the universe and whether the big bang theory is fully compatible with the first chapter of Genesis.

Your third statement--"what the bible says is 100% truth when the fool says in his heart their [sic] is no God he rejects that truth!"--appears to have little to do with the rest of your post. Since Christians believe in God, they do not reject the truth that there is a God. Nor do Christians reject biblical truth, although they may not all agree with particular interpretations or opinions about what a particular scripture may be saying.

I hate to pick at nits, but that's not at all how God created us. He took His time; six days He took, according to the Bible. And not only did He not create us with a snap of His fingers; He had the earth bring us forth.
THAT'S Genesis Creation.

Life has a way of teaching us that nothing is as straightforward as we believe it to be at 19.

In particular, there is nothing this side of heaven that is 100% truth. Only God himself, the Creator, can achieve that kind of perfection.

To ascribe anything which is part of the Created Universe with 100% truth, is to make an idol of imperfect matter. Very tempting, but not advisable.

I've no idea what the big bang theory is, and couldn't debate science if I tried. Genesis tells us why the universe was created - because God wanted it - rather than how. God is the creator, that is very clear from Genesis 1. How he did it is a different matter, and as he's given people the intelligence to research these things (some of them Christians), and they have come up with a scientific explanation, I see no reason to dismiss it.

But how about this for a thought. Genesis says that God spoke and the universe came into being. When someone speaks, the sound breaks forth from their mouth - we even use the phrase "an explosion of sound". Could this not be what has come to be known as "the big bang"? I don't see why it has to be a case of either the big bang, or God.
