It's sad to see immigrants dehumanised into a faceless damaging entity, to be removed to the cheers of the Right.
The reality is that every immigrant is a person, with family, friends, a life which they are trying to live.
Even those in favour of deportation should recognise as much. Deporting people isn't something to be happy about, let alone proud of.

In light of such, it is no surprise organisations like the Catholic Church wish aid folk to save the life they have built for themselves.

We've had some people in sanctuary for some time in Tucson. Most notably the South Side Presbyterian Church is most active. They harbored Rosa Robles for over a year. She finally made a deal with ICE with a promise she won't be deported, but now I wonder if she'll have to got into sanctuary again.

At any rate, there are still many front yards in Tucson which have this sign.
