Everyone knows what happened at the wedding at Cana. Jesus turned water to wine. Well the day after, Joseph had a hangover from drinking too much of the abundant wine. He calls down to Mary...

"Mary do me a favor, and bring me up a glass of water, and whatever you do, don't let the child near it!"

I don't want to spoil the joke, but theologically speaking, we all should know that it was the Mother who asked the Son to change the water into Wine.

John 2:3 - this is a very signifcant verse in Scripture. As our mother, Mary tells all of us to do whatever Jesus tells us. Further, Mary's intercession at the marriage feast in Cana triggers Jesus' ministry and a foreshadowing of the Eucharistic celebration of the Lamb. This celebration unites all believers into one family through the marriage of divinity and humanity.

John 2:7 - Jesus allows His mother to intercede for the people on His behalf, and responds to His mother's request by ordering the servants to fill the jars with water.

While views about the Blessed Virgin Mary can be quite heated sometimes around CF, this is not my intention (maybe i should just be quite), many other denominations believe the same as the Apostolic Churches do when it comes to Mary.
