so, i'm starting school at oklahoma state in two weeks from today. and i was wondering if ya'll had any advice for an incoming freshmen?

Starting today August 7th, 2024, in order to post in the Married Couples, Courting Couples, or Singles forums, you will not be allowed to post if you have your Marital status designated as private. - Don't worry, you're not alone. That pretty much applies to anything you're thinking or feeling at school: personal things like dating, class things like not understanding esoteric concepts being tossed at you, all of it.
- Try to go to every class. Others might not agree w/this, but you should go daily. Most schools don't take attendance, so there's not as much motivation to go every day if you're not nicked for not showing up, but go every day. It'll give you a good idea of what the profs think is important and can help focus your reading time. And, if you fall behind in your reading (happens to all of us, regardless of our best efforts otherwise), you have the notes to fall back on for exams.
- Try to make at least one friend in each class. That way you'll have someone to exchange notes with in case you don't listen to piece of advice #2.
