Adulterer

I have a friend I've known for a long time, and she's been married for years.

She's right on the verge of divorce, and has had numerous other women approach her saying her husband has had sex with them.

She keeps saying she doesn't know if he committed adultery or not.

I don't know what to do. I believe he has committed adultery on her, but I am wondering what other people's take on it might be. Is it even possible for six independent people over a span of years make such claims and it not be true?

Her church wants her to reconcile.

As a friend what am I supposed to do?

Just be there for her when she needs to talk. I would try not to tell her what to do, but give her the facts and let her decide for herself. Do these other women have any proof that they have slept with him? There is really not much you can do other than just keep on being her friend.

Personally I think you should be there for your friend, and keep your opinions to yourself. Proverbs says it's like grabbing a dog by both ears when you get yourself in a fight that is not yours.

''ADULTERY" --- na`aph in the Hebrew means, "WOMAN that breaketh wedlock".

Exodus 20:14 "You shall not commit adultery."

If a person is unfaithful he or she risks their own life and the life of his/her partner. I wouldn't touch someone if I thought they'd been unfaithful. It's like playing RUSSIAN ROULETTE.
