Starting today August 7th, 2024, in order to post in the Married Couples, Courting Couples, or Singles forums, you will not be allowed to post if you have your Marital status designated as private. CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

I don't think one exists. I haven't seen one. Maybe you could put a request in for one. I am sure that's how the TTC and pregnancy ones got started.

Adoption and foster care definitely should be a thread. I will be taking foster parent classes later in the year and hopefully by early next year I will have my first foster child. I also would like to adopt in the near future through the foster care system. I am a single christian male, It is hard to find support out there. Would love to hear about anyone else that has adopted or has been a foster parent...single or not. Thanks...Wayne.

Adoption is a wonderful thing. The only thing is that so many people want to adopt a baby, which is good. They need good families as well, but there are hundreds of young children out there that spend years being bounced from foster home to foster home that need good families too. My wife and I plan to foster older children when we buy our next house (we don't have the room where we are). Many or most and being honest, all of those kids are growing up in terrible situations. Not having parents who care and love you and being shifted from home to home is a awful thing for a child to go through. Most of them grow up thinking that there is something wrong with them because nobody wants them, not even their parents. It takes a very special family to take in these children and adopt them as their own and help them grow and understand that they are loved and wanted.
