CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
ACTS retreats

it is based on the Cursillo retreats. It's a 3 day retreat to bring you closer to God and enrich your faith. Incredible experience. Protestants spun off something similiar called Walk to Emmaus. I've been on both, they are both awesome. I've been on tons of retreats, but these 2 are teh best hands down. They are men or women only, and start with the basics of teh faith, but take them to an all new level.

I've been on a Chrysalis - a Walk to Emmaus for teens. I also worked one shortly before I got married. I am thinking that a Cursillo would be very good for me - if I ever stop being pregnant or nursing at "inconvenient" times! 
I just went to a Cursillo closing last night, and it was a very moving experience. The men were so joyful. I miss that kind of joy in my life.
