Actress Charlotte Rae (1926-2018)

This thread is to remember and pay tribute to the legendary talented TV star Charlotte Rae, famous for her Mrs. Garrett character on Diff'rent Strokes and its spinoff The Facts of Life.

Although I grew up watching these great sitcoms, it was a tad bit later that I really grew to appreciate her work as an artist of the small screen.

She was a great actress! I recall occasionally seeing her guest staring on other television shows, including The Love Boat and Murder, She Wrote.

Yes, she was on a lot of TV shows, among many things; she had a long career in the entertainment world, no doubt.

I recently happened upon this clip of a young Charlotte in the 1950s doing stand-up comedy. It is a gem, and something I believe anyone can appreciate.
