Hi all,

Just wanted to post this up in regards to some of the account issues that have been popping up. If you're finding that your current username is not there, it is not lost. That is probably why some of you are seeing avatars from some of your other accounts. The Techs are aware of this, and they will know more today in regards to this issue.

Thank you - I'm trying to help a poster - anjelica - get logged in - she is almost blind and has probably made a few mistakes in inputting the information. I reckon she is now logged out because of too many failed attempts. Sadly she can't asks for a password reminder as her registered e-mail address is no longer accessible [ change of ISP or something similar ]

She is trying to register for a new account - but the forum was running very very slow.

I've advised her not to try again tonight .

I'll copy your post and my response to her by e-mail - and we'll try again tomorrow. I'm about 200 miles away from her

FYI:

My user name was OK but my password was not. Took forever to get the site to send me the "change password" email.

I am in now with the new password so it is all ok - I think.
