Though history now looks kindly on President Lincoln, he was hated SO severely by the south who promised to leave the union if Lincoln was voted in. Slavery divided the nation and hate was strong just as abortion divides us today. It may surprise many that the election is really not so much about Trump as it is about those who are concerned our nation is and will continue to suffer greatly due to the legalized sin and celebration of abortion. Many, like myself, have felt the blessings of God leaving America since the 70's when abortion was legalized. We are almost a godless society. Trump is actually a lifelong democrat. I myself did not trust Trump that he would not revert to his old ways and I certainly wanted Ted Cruz to win the nomination. But, Trump has actually kept his promise to appoint pro-life justices, to move the US embassy to Jerusalem (Clinton, Bush and Obama ALL promised that on tape and did not have the guts to do it). Bottom line is there is no way that I could ever be ok with any leader who thought that they could legally kill what God has purposefully knit into the mother's womb. So when we are wondering how half of the country been ok with or didn't care whether people had the choice of owning another human being. Here we are again. Treating a life given by God as a choice being treated like property to either destroy or not. I can only pray that in this near future, people will start making life a priority, because the Lord does make it clear that murder of the innocent is a very serious sin that He will not ignore. Whatever you do for the "least of these" you do to Christ. There is no life more vulnerable than the unborn.
