  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Access to the Throne
by Victoria Boyson

"Then I saw a Lamb, looking as if it had been slain, standing in the center of the throne..." (Rev. 5:6).

John saw a Lamb! A Lamb who had been slain, yet He stood! He was dead, yet He lived! All hell came against Him, yet He stood in fearsome triumph over His enemies. Not even death could hold Him; the grave could not keep Him. The throne was His destiny, and now He stands having triumphed over His enemies and taken His rightful place on the throne of heaven!

Who is this man? Who is this Jesus? Do we yet truly know Him? We have seen Him as the Lamb who was taken to be slaughtered, who relinquished His life for our sake. But do we know Him as the fearsome Lord of all of heaven?

Yes, He was tortured and mocked! Yes, He was truly crucified! And yes, He was buried in the tomb! But death was not, for His goal, His goal was the resurrection from the grave! It was to endure everything hell could throw at Him and become the champion of heaven. He is our triumphant King!

The King of Heaven endured the cross for our sakes so that He might restore us to Himself. We were dead in our sins, but He triumphed over death to release us from its grasp. It was for our sakes He died, and it was for our sakes that He lives.

The Lamb rules, having been slain, yet now He lives!

Complete Resurrection

Jesus endured a season of death, but He did not remain dead. Death was merely the means to give us life and life abundantly. And though we too may undergo a season of death and destruction of our flesh, that is not where we will stay, that is not God's goal for us. His ultimate goal, in allowing us to face trials, is for us to live an abundant life with Him.

Though you may suffer a little while, God will restore to you all that you have lost and more. He does not restore you halfway, but He gives you a full and complete resurrection, with not even the smell of death on you.

As we stand with Christ having endured the fire, we look on our enemies with great authority. Having endured all that hell could throw at us, we have been made fearsome before our enemies. We can stand now with the Lamb and rule with His authority having access to the throne!

Our Prayers are a Gift to Him

"The four living creatures and the twenty-four elders fell down before the Lamb. Each one had a harp and they were holding golden bowls full of incense, which are the prayers of the saints" (Rev. 5:8).

As the elders in heaven worshiped the Lamb, they brought before Him bowls filled with our prayers. And a part of their worship was presenting our prayers to the Lamb! Beloved, your prayers are a gift to Him and bring Him great pleasure.

Can you imagine? In the midst of all the majesty and glory of heaven, in the middle of that awesome scene, Christ gives our prayers access to His throne! Our prayers play an important part of heaven's worship and honor to the Lamb...they are that important to Him.

Jesus rules now having triumphed over His enemies - all the glory of heaven worships and adores Him - yet He finds joy in our prayers. And because our prayers are important to Him, they bring great joy to all of heaven.

Because our simple prayers bring Jesus joy, they are very important to all who know and love Him. Those who truly love the Lamb will want to bring to Him what He will find enjoyment in. And saints, He enjoys you!

The Bride in Chains

My youngest son Cole had a vision. He saw a woman whom the enemy had entangled in chains. She was held captive by the chains that bound her. I believe this vision was what the bride of Christ has looked like for many years, and the church is still very much entangled in the world - enslaved by it.

We need to see our beauty and our value in Christ. As we begin to see ourselves the way He does, we will be set free to be all that God desires us to be. Furthermore, we will reign with our Beloved and rule with His authority.

You are the bride of heaven; you are what Jesus wants! Moreover, He wants you to rule and reign with Him. That is why the requests of His bride (the prayers of the saints) have access to His throne continually. He could have anything in this universe, but what He chose was you. He chose to die for you and to restore you to your place by His side to rule and reign with Him.

Though you were deemed unlovely and rejected, though you endured torture and mistreatment, He sees you as beautiful. The rejection of others has not made you disdainful to Him. No, it has made you lovely in His sight and He wants you even more. Though you are rejected and despised, He finds you lovely...you are what He wants! You have not received the praise of men, but of heaven.

He is the Root and the Offspring of David, the Bright Morning Star. He reigns in glory and yet He says to you, His bride... "Come!" "Whoever is thirsty, come." He says, "Whoever wants Me, come; experience all that I have for you. Experience the wonders and glories of Me."

You are Not Insignificant

Are you beginning to see yourself the way that He sees you? Can you see your beauty? He wants you to see yourself through His eyes, not through the eyes of rejection and pain. He wants His bride to see herself as beautiful. May you truly see yourself in Him; may you truly see your worth and value, and may you see your beauty!

You are the bride of heaven! Though He has all the splendor of heaven, it would be nothing if He couldn't have you there with Him. You are what He died to save; you are what He loves.

You are not insignificant to Jesus, but the sole purpose of His death and resurrection.

When you begin to see your beauty as His bride, you will value your prayers as much as He does. You will know that whatever you ask for in His name, according to His will, will be given to you. You will see that you truly do have access to the throne of heaven.

Dear Saints, throw off the shackles of condemnation and worship the Lamb. He loves you; dance with Him!
