Christians are united, for the most part, AGAINST SLAVERY, as they should be. It is mind boggling to me, that they are not even MORE UNITED against ABORTION. Is not MURDER even more horrible than SLAVERY? Shouldn't Christians be AGAINST BOTH ABORTION & SLAVERY?

If someone was to speak up in support of SLAVERY, they likely would be hit with a HATE CRIME....and they should be.

But people speak up in support of ABORTION and no one bats an eye. Abortion is the ULTIMATE HATE CRIME....taking the life of an innocent, helpless child.

Yes, those who deal in SLAVERY & ABORTION are BAD PEOPLE....but at least those who deal in SLAVERY don't MURDER the SLAVE...the SLAVE has LIFE and the opportunity to someday be FREE.....

Joseph was a SLAVE....and look how God was able to use him.

A Baby who is ABORTED never has the opportunity to have a LIFE of any sort.

People who did that were Christians in NAME ONLY...not true Christians. People can claim to be anything. How you TREAT OTHERS reveals whether or not your claim is TRUE.

At least a slave had a chance to live, have a family (if you were in a Christian context) and die hoping his heirs might be better off. With abortion you have no life to live and nothing to pass on. I would say it's better to be alive and in a less well off condition to give glory to God than to be killed on the altar of Moloch.

I cannot speak for individuals in American history. In the same time, slavery was not allowed in Europe and was banned by all mainstream churches worldwide.

Anyone who was ABUSING their slaves was not a Christian. There were many Christian slave owners....but they were not abusive. If they were abusive, they were not Christians.

There were men in the Bible who had multiple wives....and they were still good Christians. They were in darkness....and God worked with them. They were not abusive to their wives.

Just as not long ago, there were good men, Christians, in our Country who had slaves. They too, were in darkness....and God worked with them. But they were not abusive to their slaves.

As Christians today, we all know that multiple wives and slavery are both wrong, PERIOD. We couldn't be "good Christians" and have multiple wives or slaves.
