Well this is a debate forum.

Your arguments are getting dropped left right and centre, and you don't seem to respond to them.

Debating and two people shouting thier opinions regardless of what the other person says, are entirely different animals.

I think you're selling yourself short and not giving yourself enough credit for understanding the opinion if you feel you can't use your own words.

Let's start with selective reduction. What is it about selective reduction that you think is wrong?

(for those who may not be familiar with the term, when women have three or more babies in their womb and the babies start to get crowded... due to the woman being small or the position of the babies interfering with each other... then in some cases the babies run the risk of not developing properly, getting brain or other bodily defects for example. In such cases, sometimes doctors recommend selective reduction, or removing one of the babies, ie aborting one of them, so that the remaining babies can develop into healthy people. It is a horribly gut-wrenching decision for any parents to make, the ultimate real life "Sophie's Choice" if you're familiar with the phrase)

Pro choice is not pro abortion. That's the most close minded thing I've heard in my life. Pro choice is letting a woman MAKE A CHOICE. Not to say 'YES KILL YOUR CHILD PLEASE!!!!!!'

I was going to answer questions. I won't now, simply because I feel as if you are going to get nothing out of hearing the other side. You titled this 'Questions' as if you wanted answers, that I think, is wrong.

I don't think abortion should be used as a form of birth control. I am not PRO ABORTION. I am Pro CHOICE. A CHOICE.

Do I agree with abortions? NO. Would I get one? NO. Just as much as I don't agree with the millions of abused children, hungry children, children who are abandoned, and forced to grow up too soon. Children who are sold and bought. Children who are forced to a live a life most of us can't imagine.

In 2002, 129,000 children were waiting to be adopted. Most of them won't be. And they will be forced into the real world with no family.

I would never have an abortion for whatever reason even for rape. All abortion is wrong, if my life is at risk their are people to care for my child.

Nope but I have been pregnant with a child whose father I am less then thrilled with to this day. I miscarried because of emotional stress due to the fact that the father left me. If I hadn't miscarried I would have given birth May 25, 2009. Children are a blessing not a burden and are to be looked at as blessings and nothing less.

Some of the many consequences of Abortion that are never weighed before going through this procedure:

Heavy Bleeding - Some bleeding after abortion is normal. However, if the cervix is torn or the uterus is punctured, there is a risk of severe bleeding known as hemorrhaging. When this happens, a blood transfusion may be required. Severe bleeding is also a risk with the use of RU486. One in 100 women who use RU486 require surgery to stop the bleeding.
Infection– Infection can develop from the insertion of medical instruments into the uterus, or from fetal parts that are mistakenly left inside (known as an incomplete abortion). A pelvic infection may lead to persistent fever over several days and extended hospitalization. It can also cause scarring of the pelvic organs.
Incomplete Abortion - Some fetal parts may be mistakenly left inside after the abortion. Bleeding and infection may result.
Sepsis – A number of RU486 or mifepristone users have died as a result of sepsis (total body infection).
Anesthesia – Complications from general anesthesia used during abortion surgery may result in convulsions, heart attack, and in extreme cases, death. It also increases the risk of other serious complications by two and a half times.
Damage to the Cervix - The cervix may be cut, torn, or damaged by abortion instruments. This can cause excessive bleeding that requires surgical repair.
Scarring of the Uterine Lining – Suction tubing, curettes, and other abortion instruments may cause permanent scarring of the uterine lining.
Perforation of the Uterus - The uterus may be punctured or torn by abortion instruments. The risk of this complication increases with the length of the pregnancy. If this occurs, major surgery may be required, including removal of the uterus (known as a hysterectomy).
Damage to Internal Organs - When the uterus is punctured or torn, there is also a risk that damage will occur to nearby organs such as the bowel and bladder.
Death - In extreme cases, other physical complications from abortion including excessive bleeding, infection, organ damage from a perforated uterus, and adverse reactions to anesthesia may lead to death. This complication is rare, but is real.

Consider Other Risks of Abortion

Abortion and Preterm Birth:

Women who undergo one or more induced abortions carry a significantly increased risk of delivering prematurely in the future. Premature delivery is associated with higher rates of cerebral palsy, as well as other complications of prematurity (brain, respiratory, bowel, and eye problems).
Abortion and Breast Cancer:

Medical experts are still researching and debating the linkage between abortion and breast cancer. Here are some important facts:

Carrying your first pregnancy to full term gives protection against breast cancer. Choosing abortion causes loss of that protection.
A number of reliable studies have concluded that there may be a link between abortion and the later development of breast cancer.

A 1994 study in the Journal of the National Cancer Institute found: “Among women who had been pregnant at least once, the risk of breast cancer in those who had experienced an induced abortion was 50% higher than among other women.”
Emotional and Psychological Impact:

There is evidence that abortion is associated with a decrease in both emotional and physical health. For some women these negative emotions may be very strong, and can appear within days or after many years. This psychological response is a form of post-traumatic stress disorder. Some of the symptoms are:

Eating disorders
Relationship problems
Guilt
Depression
Flashbacks of abortion
Suicidal thoughts
Sexual dysfunction
Alcohol and drug abuse

Explore Your Options

You have the legal right to choose the outcome of your pregnancy. But real empowerment comes when you find the resources and inner strength necessary to make your best choice. Here are some other options.
Parenting

Choosing to continue your pregnancy and to parent is very challenging. But with the support of caring people, parenting classes, and other resources, many women find the help they need to make this choice.
Adoption

You may decide to place your child for adoption. Each year over 50,000 women in America make this choice. This loving decision is often made by women who first thought abortion was their only way out.

Ezekiel 18:20, which prohibits executing a child for the crime of his/her father. This means that even the tragic cases of pregnancies due to incest or rape are no justification for killing the innocent child conceived.

Biblically, life definitely begins at conception. King David said he was sinful from the time he was conceived (Psalm 51:5). Therefore, he became a person at the moment of conception, for only a person can have a sin nature.
Many scriptures speak of fetuses as children and persons. As soon as she conceives, a woman is “with child.” God sometimes relates intimately with the fetus. (See: Psalm 119:73; 139:13-16; Jeremiah 1:5; Job 10:8-12; 31:13-15; Genesis 25:22; Hosea 12:2-3; Matthew 1:18-20; etc.) God sometimes even prepares them for a specific calling (Rom. 9:11; Judges 13:3-5; Jer. 1:5; Gal. 1:15).

hmm seeing as you aren't catholic or EO, i don't know why you think bringing this up means anything.
seeing as according to most christian sects, people aren't born innocent, so it doesn't matter

yes and exodus says fetus's aren't people they are property
i fail to see how usage of a word in a book makes it true, no do i really care what the bible says about anything

Aimejl, this is a debate forum. Debate. Not display. You really need to stop copy-pasting articles you like into the posts without giving any link to their original authors or adding your own words--it is very misleading to people who would like to have a discussion with you.

Many of us would be willing to debate/discuss some of the points that you have made. It seems you don't really understand what this board is about. Why don't you try answering ArteestX's question about selective reproduction? Otherwise, there really isn't much point in you posting here.
