What a privilege it is to be in the Family of God where our very words minister to each other. That is the intent and design of the Family. Building our relationships is a vital part of our spiritual growth, just as is Prayer, and Worship, and Bible Study.

We are told in I John 4:21: " And this commandment have we from him, That he who loveth God love his brother also." I tell you the truth. If we love God we will find it easy to love our brother. So very easy. Just as it is easy to become sensitive to those who say they are our brother but indeed are not.

Biological families split up and scatter around the country and even the world and grow apart. But such should never be the case in the Spiritual Family of God.

Do not think we can shun, avoid, and not love a person here on earth that we expect to spend eternity with in Heaven. We need not fool ourselves in thinking that we can look down our long Holier than Thou noses in judgement of a brother, and it will be alright because when we get to Heaven everything will be made right by the wave of God's Hand.

If we do not love our brother now we have a SERIOUS problem, according to God's Word.

1 John 3:14 We know that we have passed from death unto life, because we love the brethren. He that loveth not his brother abideth in death.

In the vein of the salvation checks I started earlier, here is one that should cause us to pause and think.

"In this the children of God are manifest, and the children of the devil: whosoever doeth not righteousness is not of God, neither he that loveth not his brother."

Do we love our brothers or do we simply say we do? It is not a question that anyone can answer for you. But it is a question that requires an answer. Do we love our brothers? The Word says our love will be manifested by our actions.

May God fill our hearts to overflowing with His love for one another!

Thanks little sister! Hugs are GOOD! Isn't it simply awesome to be a member of the loving Family of God! I wish that there would be no lost people and that everyone would know the love and joy of salvation.
