From Chapter 20, "That you may bear much fruit" (John 15:5, 8), by Andrew Murray:

"The great secret of abiding in Christ is the deep conviction that we are nothing, and he is everything."

"What the church and the world both need is this: men and women full of the Holy Spirit and of love, who, as the living embodiment of the grace and power of Christ, witness for Him, and for His power on behalf of those who believe in Him."

I agree with you.

I would ask though, what are the qualities/traits in a Christian that get's them to this point where they are so affective for Christ?

One thing I believe is that we need to walk boldly. What I mean by that is to know the Word and keep learning the Word, but boldly step out into the world without a conflict between who we are and who we are in Christ. When we 'own' Christ as a part of who we are, then I think that we do walk boldly because we are not doing it 'for Christ' per se, but because it is 'who we are' because we are in Christ. (I hope I explained that right).

I don't make any bones about my faith. If someone thinks I'm stupid for believing in God and having faith, then that's there opinion. I own it as part of who I am. Not picking and choosing when and where to show Christ.

It wouldn't be fair to critique anything based on just a few lines of text or ideas, not fully understanding the full context or intent of the writer.

But for a cursory discussion, I couldn't disagree more that the "great secret of abiding in Christ is the deep conviction that we are nothing, and he is everything." [emphsis mine] It may be for some part of the revelation, but it's not the "great secret".
