I agree, I think it is sin and they can do what they want but we are refering to morality here. That's a different ball park.Plodzilla said:Does it really matter? Is there anything to be gained from condeming homosexuals? *edited out comment that was not approprate.* I can see absolutely no benefit in calling them sinners. Just get on with your own lives.
LOL. Welcome to the CF!Plodzilla said:They've edited me! I feel violated! How can I debate properly with the most expressive part of my vocabulary removed? This really isn't on. Can I say 'ruddy'? Is that allowed? 'Booger'? If that's all I can get away with, so be it. I'll just have to swear like someone of a Hovis advert. Or a Barnsley supporter.
Sorry it wasn't approprate so I took it out.Plodzilla said:They've edited me! I feel violated! How can I debate properly with the most expressive part of my vocabulary removed? This really isn't on. Well, Plodzilla you gotta remember there are ladies around here. I don't claim to be one of them, but you might bruise my friend Mango's ears. He's kinda sensitive about naughty words.Plodzilla said:They've edited me!
Reverend Jim said:Paul calls homosexuality a shameful lust, unnatural, indecent, and a perversion.
Let's test your understanding:Outspoken said:I disagree. I just might understand more then you know. As for your change, yes you do not allow yourself to be changed by God, thus you will never change in that aspect.

Even if this was true (it isn't - sexual orientation isn't something people "choose") it has nothing to do with what I said. God is the creator of everthing that exists. Gay people exist. Therefore, God is the creator of gay people. God could have (A) Decided not to send gay people to Hell, (B) Made being gay something unnatural and unobtainable by humans, or (C) Simply not allowed people who are gay or would eventually turn out to be gay to be born. There's no getting around the fact that God has the power to not torture people because of their sexual orientation.
*sigh* for the last time already, God doesn't make people gay. People make themselves gay.
If you say so. But Mango's more of a lady than I am. I'm a little on the masculine side.Smilin said:And, yes you are a lady...please.

ahh I see you missed out on context yet againSmilin said:Let's test your understanding:
1.What is the creed of the Wolf, how does it compare and contrast
with Christianity...and what are the steps of Walking The Red Road?
(no googling allowed now...be honest)
Do the Cherokee believe in God?
2. Do not speak for me and what changed me. You have no clue.
I was truly 'reborn' again.... As Arikay once suggested, when you
release all preconceived religious dogmas and open yourself to all
possibilities, diligently seeking truth and answers...
Yes, I was changed. Maybe not by your perception of God.
However, as I continue to state, you wouldn't understand.
Unless of course you are open-minded enough to listen
to the wind...for it speaks.
no, he does not make people gay anymore then he makes you loose your anger and murder someone.chalice_thunder said:In fact, He DOES...you just refuse to see it because of your narrow interpretation of several verses of scripture.
If you took a good honest look at the many gay people around you, you will find people JUST LIKE YOURSELF - people who pray, work for justice, create families, pay taxes. Oh yes, then there is the one little difference - they partner with somebody of the same sex.
And speaking of change - you know that God can deliver you of this irrational fear. But you must choose to accept it.

OK, I've calmed down. Necked a handful of valium and a bottle of Tudor Rose. If we're talking about homosexuality in animals, the studies have shown they only practice it in times of neccesity (when there's nothing else around) or in over crowded communities. Do you think this applies to humans too, or is it a case of nature and nurture?
