I just wanted to share an idea I had with my little brother that might help you guys :D
My brother is 3 years younger than me, when he was 9 he started going to sunday school. He didn't like it at all, I think because he was really shy. So, after my first communion we stopped going to church. My brother had a lot of questions and most of the time he asked me for answers, because I regularly went to church with my friend. So I started something called the Jesus book (my brother named it himself ^_^ ) It was a little notebook with a puppy on it (He picked it out himself) and I wrote his name and the title on it and put it on his desk in a special drawer. Every time he had a question he could write it at the top of a new page, sometimes he filled up three pages each day. Later at night he would give me the book when I said good-night to him and then write the answers, always ending the page with a verse from the bible. I always wrote it in a way he could understand it and we would go over the answers every sunday morning after breakfast. He loved it and we continued it for about a year and a half, then he told me he wanted to start praying. So I got out the book and put a divider in it and told him to write the things he wanted to pray for during each day and at night he would get out the book and after we prayed for family, friends, pets, teachers, etc. and so on, we would pray for the special things in his book, like: please help uncle Scott find a house or, please help Aunt Bobbi overcome cancer. He even made a code out of symbols like hearts and diamonds and kept the key taped to the inside of his desk, so that if it was personal we could pray to ourseleves for a moment as well.
He's 11 now and he likes to pray on his own, but every once in a while I will take a peek of him writing something new in his Jesus book. I think it brought us closer to God and to each other.

That's a great idea! Thanks for sharing it. :) Your brother is lucky to have an older sister like you. Just wondering--where were your parents?

Where were they? What do you mean? Oh, wait, I know what your talking about. Ok, see my dad is baptist, he never went to church so he believes in God but he can't answer all of my brothers questions. My mom is lutheran, so is the rest of my family but for some reason my brother wanted my help and not my moms.

I see. That's what I was curious about. I wasn't able to talk to my parents about spiritual questions that much either when I was growing up. They went to church and believed certain things but didn't seem to have much of a relationship with Jesus. (My dad was raised Lutheran.) My sister and I read the Bible on our own and talked about spiritual matters. It's good that your brother has you to talk to.
