"To every thing there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven:" Ecclesiastes 3:1 KJV
As we know, Scripture like this has an interpretation for another people in another time, but it most definitely has definite applications for us in our time.
This Scripture is one we so often overlook, because of a thousand reasons I won't even try to go into here. Point is, it is true. This is the season for me to be here in these forums: There is a purpose for my being here: This is the time for me to be here.
I have not always been here, and I shall not always be here. But this is the time. I know because God sent a messenger to fetch me and bring me here. And I answered and came. When I have completed the purpose for which I came, He will lead me on.
Why am I here. I don't really know. But every life touches every other life it comes into contact with. I know God has touched some lives here through me and I have been deeply touched by many others.
When I leave I will not be the same nor will those whose lives I have touched. God in His infinite wisdom has a master plan, and He has a time and purpose as well.
Little over a year ago, I heard another call, and so along with a friend we began to work on a very special ministry. Many times during that period, I told my friend we cannot mess this up. We must be diligent and we must do what we must do, else we will get no second chance. That was so heavy on my heart and I knew where that message came from.
We did not complete the work, and now the call and the opportunity is clearly taken away, and we have missed Mountains of Blessings. Just as God takes away talents we refuse to use and gives them to another who will, he takes away opportunities for service when we do not respond.
God wants a job done and when He offers the job, we must answer quickly, and complete the job in His time, not ours. Our God is a God of action, and He has called us to Act!
Father, help us to be still and know You are God, and to hear and recognize Your voice when You call. Stir our hearts and give us a deep desire to accept and complete the task You Bless us with, and give us the strength and courage to act in accordance with Your will. In the Sweet, Awesome, and Precious Name of Jesus we lift this petition and give You our thanks and praise. And so it is.
