Christmas Eve, 2009
Dear Friends:Two thousand years ago God walked down the staircase of the sky with a Baby in His arms. That Baby would change the world. The birth of that Baby would affect the entire universe. Jesus coming into the world would prove Satan's charges against God as being false.
Jesus was coming to die for the sins of mankind.
For this cause, He said, I came into the world. He came to atone for the inexcusable transgression of Adam. Yet He came as a helpless Baby, not a mature adult as was Adam. He came to a stable, while Adam came to be in a verdant garden. He came bearing the infirmities of 4,000 years of declension in physical strength, while Adam enjoyed unflawed vitality. He came amidst the darkest hour of humanity. He came knowing that the cross was His goal, that death was His objective.
Yet He came! Praise God for His great Gift! As you enjoy this season, I pray that you will give thoughtful reflection to the great Plan of redemption brought to pass by our mighty God. It's not about tinsel and toys; it's about a God Who couldn't stand idly by and let a planet slip into destruction without taking responsibility to provide a means of escape.
Jesus' coming into the world affects you personally; because of His birth you have the opportunity to choose God's plan and let Him guide and direct your path. If you dont resist, He will bring light and life into your heart, and lead you to the home He's prepared.
About 2,000 years ago, He was born in Bethlehem. Let Him be born in your heart today! Best wishes and God's blessings.
Your friend and brother in Christ,
