A Testimony of Grace

Hello Dear friends in Christ, I am writing to you to express a change in my life. This weekend I had the honor of attending Minnesota Tres Dias #1. When I first got there, I was in the wrong mindset. I wanted out of life.... God out of my life. I wanted my life to end and all my problems to fade away. However when I left this weekend, I left a new creation in Christ. Allow me to explain what happened. On Saturday, which was the second day of Tres Dias, during the song "Open the Eyes of My Heart", the Lord did just that for me.
He spoke to me and I saw HIM. He said "My child, you are not mine." I argued about it with him and he went on to explain I was a hypocritical joe. Meaning I lived the life on the Christian walk on the outside, but not inside. That I did everything because the crowd did it.
Friends, I was a follower. Not a leader. I am writing to tell you that during that song, I accepted Jesus Christ into my heart for the first time in my life. I recognized I was a hypocrite and actually felt HIS love and saw HIM. The Jesse you knew before this Thursday is dead... he is nailed on the cross. Sure, some of my hobbies will remain; like listening to relaxation music and reading fantasy. However they will serve a new purpose for me. They will be used to glorify the Christ who lives in us all. Jesus said "I have come not to destroy the world, but to save it". (John 3:17). Friends, before when I quoted Scripture, it had no meaning. Now every word of God is jumping out of the book we call the Bible. I praise God for delivering me from the life I was in. May HE live in you as well so we can one day join HIM In the heavenlies above!
