DRACO IGNIS (For those of you out there who loved John Boorman's EXCALIBUR! Enjoy!)

From Deep Below: The Bowels Of Earth
Lurks Merlin’s Source of Pow’r and Worth
His Scales Of Rock, His Teeth of Iron
Enveloped in Haze, ‘Midst Crystal Environ
A Creature of Mind and Might and Magic
The Conjurer’s Heart deems him Winsome Or Tragic
Abuse much his pow’r, and face soon his Wrath
Consigned to Oblivion: dark aftermath
“Look into his Scarlet Eyes, now, and Despair!”
Merlin screams at the evil ones trapped in his lair
Yet, Something is foul! Evil doth Malign!
The Sword Of Pow’r has been thrust into his Spine!
In The Name Of All Good, how could this Have Occurred?
At times, evil fate Strikes, not saying a word
The Holy Grail Only can Thwart such a curse
Ye Knights! Seek and Find It ‘Ere matters are Worse
Land and King are Both Powerless without Christ’s Blood
And the Great Goblet which retrieved that Precious Flood
Ride Out, ride on, Arthur’s Knights, and pursue it!
Evil has run quite rampant, and you must undo it!
Morgana and Mordred and minions of theirs
Must pay for their sins, Take them unawares
And Destroy them in Battle; Fly after them now
Arthur leads with Excalibur; May God allow
The Good Knights of the Round Table Victory yet
And let not the doom of man soon to forget
Overtake these Great Knights; let them revel in Joy
As they rout these vile forces; their War Cries employ
Let Steel Crash against Steel; evil fall under Sword
Let the life be Crushed from this malevolent horde
Fight on, ye Brave Knights, ‘til The Dragon’s Spine’s heal’d
Fight on, Arthur, with Sword Of Pow’r finally to Wield
Arthur hath drunk, Indeed, from The Chalice Of Christ
When Perceval, That Good Knight, thus did entice
His King to do so to restore his own Health
And, at that same moment, there rushed in a Wealth
Of Christ’s Great Healing Power, as from His Blood comes,
Arthur’s death-knell had been sounded on demon-drums
But from evil’s foul Stupor The King did awaken
And soon every Briton did feel The Land shaken
By Hoofbeats as every Page, Squire, and Knight
Rode quickly, Courageous, in Course to the Fight
There, on the Battlefield, by Light Of Dawn,
All Knights and fiends Clamored; all Weapons were drawn
Horseless, Arthur emerges, and Mordred comes, too
Brandishing his long spear to run Arthur through
“Let us finally embrace, now, Good Father!” he smirks
Morgana’s vile spawn; agent of evil works
The foul deed far done, ‘tis still not the End
God’s Almighty Power Bids Arthur to bend
Forward in one last attempt to Transcend
The pathetic limits of mere mortal Men
He advances, thrusting Excalibur in
To this blackheart, where dwells only evil and sin
The last vile corrupter, at last, has seen death
And quite before Arthur has breathed his last Breath
Three Angels from Heaven took him; Here then Gone!
And bore him hence on their Ship to Avalon
Excalibur’s with the Lady of the Lake
And shall Arise soon for The New King to Take
Thanks to Ultimate Good, evil no more maligns
Good Arthur’s Knights followed the Portents and Signs
Brought back The Grail, wiped all disease from The Land
And thus, Arthur’s Knights became God’s Mighty Hand
The Dragon? He’s still there; he manages well
Especially since he’s free from evil’s vile spell
Comprised of The Earth, and of all her Creatures
Silver, crystal, and gold are but few of his features
A Creature of mind and might and magic
If Your Heart stays Winsome, he’ll never prove tragic
His Scales of rock, his teeth of iron
Enveloped in haze, ‘midst crystal Environ
He watches, he waits, through the Course of all Time
‘Til The True King returns: The Creator Sublime
